Florence is the perfect location for your Italian wedding. Birthplace of The Renaissance, and home of The Medici  (The ruling family from the early 15th – 18th century) who patronised the work of such great artists as Leonardo Da Vinci, Raffaelo, Botticelli, Brunelleschi and Michelangelo. Civil weddings take place in the Palazzo Vecchio, located in one of the world’s greatest piazzas – Piazza della Signoria.

Weddings are performed in the inner Sala Rossa   (Red Hall ), which is an incredible specimen of Renaissance decoration and furnishing: Large gold mirrors, red drapes, antique chandeliers and gilded chairs upholstered in red silk and velvet. The hall evokes a sense of nobility and awe to those getting married there. Only Civil Weddings are allowed and the ceremony is performed by the Mayor of Florence or the Civil Registrar.
