Also on Lake Garda, you could choose Salo, a quiet lakeside town, surrounded by olive groves and stunning views. Weddings are performed in a 16th century palace right in front of the lake shore.
Then there is Gardone Riviera, a town with true Italian atmosphere and charm. The centre is free of traffic allowing you to wander around at ease, and enjoy the stroll to some of the wonderful restaurants and bars. Up in the green hills surrounding the town, there are some very good restaurants and picturesque walks. This is suitable for weddings all year round.
Lake Como : Bellagio
Bellagio is certainly one of the most romantic little towns on the Italian lakes for your wedding in Italy.It lies on Lake Como and is famous for its spectacular views of the Alps across the Lakes to the north. A perfect base for discovering some of the most beautiful spots in this part of the Italian lakes.
The weddings can take place in a lovely 18th century villa with spectacular views, sunshine, Mediterranean vegetation and palm trees, in pleasant gardens with a stone courtyard. There are some lovely hotels nearby. You are just one hour from Milan with its fabulous shops and restaurants, an area rich in history and heritage, yet, breathtakingly pretty and with excellent food and wines. We offer a fantastic restaurant for your reception just a short boat trip across the Lake, unchanged for years, warm, hospitable and a well known haunt of the stars when visiting this part of the Italian Lake District !
Lake Orta : Orta San Giulio
This is the most romantic location in the Lake District, and just one hour from Milan. Orta S. Giulio lies at the end of a peninsula that juts out into Lake Orta about a third of the way up the eastern shore. Interesting wrought iron balustrades and balconies front the elegant 18th century houses of this small and relaxing town. The main square of the island looks across to the island of San Giulio. We highly recommend this location. The weddings can take place in an elegant 17th century villa facing the lake. The venue is just stunning. The Bride and Groom can have the possibility to arrive by boat after a panoramic journey across the lake, landing at the superb iron gates which open onto the gardens with the majestic facade of the villa as background. The marriage hall is beautiful with elegant furnishings and can be decorated to suit your specifications. The room would accommodate up to 40 guests standing.
In this villa , only Civil Ceremonies are allowed, performed by the Mayor of the town or the Civil Registrar. You are invited to add any special vows, readings, poems to make the day very special and personal to you. Weddings may take place from Monday to Saturday either in the morning or the afternoon.
If you would like to plan a Catholic wedding in Orta you can choose from one of two churches, one is a beautiful church in the heart of the village on a hill with stunning views, the second is a small, romantic church near to Lake Orta.
The receptions can be held in an exclusive venue overlooking the lake.
